Like every story I pen, Scorpion Sting unfolds in Virginia Beach, Virginia—my signature setting.

Scorpion Sting carves its niche within the Dystopian Thriller genre, drawing upon my interpretation of divine retribution as depicted in the prophetic Scriptures of the Book of Revelation. This biblical book, with its vivid imagery of dragons, epic battles, enigmas, and the ultimate showdown between the forces of good and evil, reads like a tapestry of wild fantasy. A rich source for the imagination.

Deciphering the Book of Revelation to predict the exact sequence of end-times events or to describe with precision what each might entail is a challenge I wonder if anyone can claim to have mastered. Nevertheless, I'm poised to venture my best interpretation.

It's crucial to emphasize that Scorpion Sting is, undoubtedly, a work of fiction.

Moreover, it's worth mentioning that I might be venturing into uncharted territory, perhaps naively so, by attempting to craft such a narrative. I am not a Bible scholar, nor have I undergone formal education in religious studies. My approach is that of an individual who has read and reflected upon the enigmas presented within the text.

These mysteries have become increasingly clear to me, especially with the advancement of technology and AI. I can visualize the religious war to come.

The Quran, often referred to in a similar context as the Bible within the Islamic tradition, appears to share similar—if not identical—prophecies regarding the end times; however, it presents as though it's the other side of the same coin. It's as if the figure revered as the Messiah in one religion is depicted as the False Messiah in the other—and vice versa.

Viewed through my admittedly foggy understanding of eschatology, these "similar prophecies" seem to converge towards a point of inevitable conflict.

Scorpion Sting is crafted to explore this tension, aiming to immerse the reader directly into the psychological experience of survivors caught amid this unfolding drama.

It is a story that won't leave me alone until I've written it.

Finally, to improve my storytelling developmental process, I'm using Scorpion Sting as the experimental playground for refining my new writing process. And I'm revealing the draft chapter by chapter in serialized releases.
